Contents
The insured value of contents is the responsibility of the client.
The Fund does not maintain a register of each clients items of contents. The Fund uses the contents values from the prior year, unless notified otherwise by the client. We recommend that each client reviews and assesses the value of the contents insured on an annual basis.
The section below provides some further helpful information with respect to contents insurance, what is included and what is not.
For insurance purposes contents are defined as; plant, contents and equipment such as carpets (not glued), office furniture etc... but excludes stock and permanent fixtures.

Organs
Organs are not part of contents, they are included within the building valuation. However, the Funds building valuers, are not experts at valuing organs. As discussed on our Valuations page, we recommend that Parishes seek specialist advice on the value of their organs.

Stained Glass
Organs are not part of contents, they are included within the building valuation. Whilst the Valuers are not experts in assessing the cost of stained glass windows, they have made inquiries sufficient to understand the costs involved in replacing basic stained glass windows, these costs are reflected in the valuations.
Where a Church features a substantial amount of stained glass, or intricate stained glass, we recommend expert advice is sought.
Computers
Computers which are stolen or damaged are covered for depreciated value.
We recommend that laptops are kept in secure places, such as locked filing cabinets overnight. Laptops should not be left in vehicles if possible.
